In the beginning of June, we'll post a generic "minimum" training plan which will help you feel confident about successfully completing the Ride To Empower.
A generic training plan will not necessarily be appropriate for YOU. For most people, it will either be too much or too little. Why is that? Each of you has different levels of basic fitness and cycling experience. Some of you live in the plains states where the only hills you'll find are bumps in the road or over-passes; while others live in the mountains where you can't find ten miles of flat road. Those in hilly areas would be less likely to meet the mileage or time requirements of a plan without being exhausted. Those in flatter areas might not get the intensity and strength building necessary. Some of you will do most of your training by yourselves. Others will be fortunate enough to train in groups. Some have limited training time, some have all day.
We want you to succeed in October! But we also want you to enjoy the process of preparing for that. The best way to ensure your success and enjoyment is to receive personal attention. We want to cater your training to YOU and your personal situation and available training time. We want to be in touch with you weekly (or more) during your training, so we can see how you're doing, how you're feeling, and know whether to suggest some changes to your training. Local coaches may not be available - so we're your cyber coaches and mentors.
So we'd like you to email us directly and work with us closely and personally. Our email is embassy@planetultra.com - and we very much want to work with you and help make this a GREAT experience.
