Let's start off super simply:
When you're riding your bike on the road, the law considers you a "vehicle," subject to the laws of your State Vehicle Code. This means that you're pretty much treated the same as a car. If you run a traffic light, blow a stop sign, ride against traffic, or do any number of things that are illegal while driving, you might just find yourself getting pulled over and given a very expensive ticket (which, by the way, may be considered a moving violation and ding you on your driving record).
So do yourself a favor, be mindful of these...
