Hi All -
We wish everyone a wonderful, delicious Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is far and away our favorite and best food holiday of the year. Starting now, and all through December, we tend to spread the joy by sharing high carb meals (YUM! We LOVE mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing...), indulging on candies, cookies, pies, breads, and so many other things that will, unless we keep working out, contribute to an expanded winter waistline...
So eat! But do yourselves a favor and keep up with your exercise and fitness routines. Go to the gym. Ride your bike if you live in a climate where you're able. Take walks. Partake of winter sports like skiing, skating and snoeshoeing. And then EAT!
Enjoy!
We wish you and yours a very Merry Holiday Season and Good Health and Happiness in the coming New Year!
:-)

Nice post. An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.

Just signed up - first Ride to Empower. I have only completed one century ( did one 109 mile ride up in Alaska in the last millenium) so obviously any advice on training especially for altitude and terrain (expecting significant elevation changes which would be up for the most part - no?)would be helpful. I live in the Washington DC area so mountain passes are hard to come by. Thanks.
